Are you interested in a career in data science? Are you wondering how machine learning, AI, and data analysis can be leveraged for financial applications?
Then come on out to the first Intact Datathon, where you’ll have the chance to meet with Data Scientists & Actuarial pros from Intact Data Lab and work with real production data from Intact! You will be challenged to find and build solutions to a real life problem faced by actuaries over the course of the weekend!
Challenge Statement: Auto insurers strive to accurately predict future losses so that they can provide accurate pricing for auto insurance policies. In the age of big data, we challenge all participants to analyze the provided data and create predictive loss cost models and/or creative data visualizations from the data.
Winners will have the chance to receive cool prizes!
This event is FREE and for UWaterloo MathSoc students only. Food and drinks will be served. No coding experience is required.
